We enjoyed a very inspirational day in the National Sports Campus on Wednesday 7th February at the launch of Clann Credo’s new €10m Community Sports Loan Fund.
Our primary goal was to help overcome some of the financial obstacles faced by local sports clubs and national and regional sporting bodies as well as providing some resources to support their efforts.
There were many topics covered during the seminar and the presenters did an outstanding job sharing their expertise.
100 delegates came along and the enthusiasm and positive spirit was infectious. The questions from the floor brought out some great learnings for us all.
We were very honoured that Minister of State for Tourism and Sport, Brendan Griffin T.D. launched our new fund. His appreciation that this €10m Community Sports Loan Fund 'will play an important role in supporting sports clubs... enabling their projects to go ahead more speedily' was welcomed. He also recognised the importance of providing finance 'without the need for individual or combined personal guarantees by sports club members'.
We would like to sincerely thank all our other speakers and contributors on the day - Kieran Donaghy, Liz Roche, Brendan Ingram, Emily Walsh and Jim Boyle.
Please help us to spread the word about the €10m Community Sports Loan Fund among clubs in your area.
