Many community and voluntary groups will be eligible for these LEADER grants. The application process for LEADER may sound daunting, but Clann Credo Community Loan Finance can help you through this process.
Two of the current funding calls by Dublin Rural LEADER are in relation to: ‘Strengthening Dublin Rural tourism offering through people, product and place in harmony with its unique rural environment.’
· One of the project types is in relation to ‘training and capacity building’ for 5 tourism providers, rural dwellers and farm families. The budget limit for this one is €66,000.
· The second call is in relation to analysis and development in the area of tourism, strategy, marketing plan and animation. The budget limit for this one is €40,000.
· Funding Call 3 is in relation to: ‘strengthening rural Dublin ‘s Economic and Enterprise environment to increase market share and create employment opportunities locally’. This could involve providing enterprise training animation and support for underrepresented individuals and groups. There would be funding for 6 such projects with a budget limit of €90,000.
So how can Clann Credo Community Loan Finance help with LEADER Grants?
LEADER grants can make community projects happen, but bridging finance and match funding can be obstacles for groups trying to avail of LEADER grants. In order to draw down any LEADER grant, you must pay for the works first. This means you must have access to funds to cash-flow the project and you may require a Bridging Loan.
In addition, community groups must fund a portion of the projects from their own funds. If your groups doesn’t have all these funds up front, you may need a Match Funding Loan
Clann Credo has a €25m Community LEADER Loan Fund which can help your community or voluntary group to maximise your LEADER grant by securing match funding loans or bridging loans.
