Ireland-Wales Funding available

Is your organisation involved in promoting local tourism, eco-tourism, or cultural heritage in the east or south of Ireland? If so you may be eligible to apply for a grant under the Ireland Wales Programme 2014-2020!

€9.6M of funds are available for cross-border proposals to maximise the potential of Ireland and Wales’ natural and cultural assets, helping to increase visitor numbers to coastal communities (Priority 3 under the Interreg Ireland-Wales Programme).

A call for proposals has been opened for this priority area, with a particular interest in attracting engagement from the community and voluntary sector.  Each project must have at least one Irish and one Welsh partner and a maximum of six joint partners.  Click here to see a map of eligible areas.

Types of projects funded under this priority axis include establishing and developing networks and cooperation platforms; exchange of best practice, expertise, and/or technologies; pilot actions for testing out new processes, products or services that could attract investment; and other minor scale investments.

Clann Credo can help you to maximize the funds you receive by providing community loan finance.  You can find out more about our Community Finance loans at www.clanncredo.ie This video will also give you an idea about how Community Loan Finance helped Hook Tourism and Colclough Gardens in Co. Wexford.

The deadline to submit a proposal is 5pm on 28 July 2017. Information about how to apply can be found here and you can also contact The Wheel’s Access Europe team for support during the application process (emma@wheel.ie).
