€500,000 Granted to Cambodian Microfinance Provider

Clann Credo is delighted to announce that it has granted social finance to the value of €500,000 to Angkor Mikroheranhvatho (Kampuchea) Co. Ltd (AMK), Cambodia's leading microfinance provider.

AMK helps large numbers of poor people to improve their livelihood options through its microfinance services, which includes group-guaranteed loans as well as a number of innovative saving services.

The organisation originated from the savings and credit component of Concern Worldwide community development work in Cambodia. During the late 90s the savings and credit activities were gradually separated from Concern’s larger community development program, which eventually led to the establishment of AMK in 2003.

Since turning its first profit in 2005, AMK has matured into a large organisation, expanded its geographic reach across Cambodia, and pioneered many innovative new products and services.

This is just one of a growing number of international projects supported by Clann Credo. Click here for further information.
