For over 20 years Clann Credo has been committed to supporting community-based volunteers in Ireland. It provides Community Loan Finance to help maximise the potential of projects.
The needs of these voluntary groups are unique and as well as supporting them financially, Clann Credo is offering volunteers and community leaders around the country training and support through the ‘Learn, Inspire, Share’ training series.
The workshops are designed to help the volunteers and staff who work on the projects that Clann Credo supports with Community Loan Finance.
The theme of the Sligo workshop was ‘Sustainable Fundraising’ and included planning for fundraising, the importance of engaging with stakeholders and understanding the role of communications in a successful fundraising campaign. The event took place at the Sligo Park Hotel on the evening of 4th May.
The workshop were facilitated by Caroline Egan, an experienced fundraising specialist and strategist in the voluntary sector.
“We are delighted to be kicking off out ‘Learn, Inspire, Share’ series of free workshops in Sligo,” said Paul O’Sullivan, CEO, Clann Credo, “Volunteers have a transformative effect on local communities and this has been particularly acknowledged in Sligo when it won the European Volunteering Capital title for 2017. We want to help volunteers through training and support as well as with Community Loan Finance."
