Clann Credo Awarded Enterprise Ireland Innovation Voucher

Clann Credo has been awarded a €5,000 Innovation Voucher by Enterprise
Ireland.  This enabled Clann Credo to commission DCU’s Ryan Academy on
Enterprise to conduct a review of international practice in the area
of social finance.

The DCU Ryan Academy on Enterprise research will help Clann Credo come
up with solutions to help it develop strategically.

The Innovation Voucher Initiative is designed to encourage companies
and public knowledge providers to work together on specific innovation
questions and projects related to the company's needs. The company may
use the new knowledge to innovate a product, production process or
service.

Any small business, community business or social enterprise can apply
to EI and additionally up to 10 voucher recipients can work
collectively to address their shared challenges.  The voucher gives
the successful applicants access to 40 of Ireland's top knowledge
providers, including several universities and colleges.

The establishment of the Innovation Voucher initiative was a key
recommendation of the Small Business Forum in their report Small
Business is Big Business, published in May 2006. Innovation vouchers
worth €5,000 are allocated on a semi-competitive basis to small
businesses whose proposals met the criteria.
