Established in 1996 by religious investors, Clann Credo designs and promotes innovative social finance products and services, contributing to inclusive prosperity and developing social capital in a way that benefits the whole community. At the end of 2019, Clann Credo had a loan book of c.€35 million and over 400 borrowers. Clann Credo is a company limited by guarantee and is registered with The Charities Regulator. The organisation is overseen by a voluntary Board of Directors with a head office in Inchicore, Dublin 8 and a sub-office in Midleton, Co. Cork.
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Reporting to the Chairperson and the voluntary Board of Directors, the Chief Executive will determine and formulate strategies and policies and provide the overall direction for Clann Credo within the guidelines set and agreed. The Chief Executive will be responsible for planning, directing, and co-ordinating the operational and financial activities of the organisation together with the Senior Management Team.
The role will involve liaison with the Board on the delivery of the strategy, the achievement of objectives and wider issues around governance. Spokesperson duties in addition to working to influence public policy and developing strategic alliances with external bodies concerning Social Finance will form important facets of the post.
Third-level qualified, the successful candidate will be an energetic, driven and ‘hands-on’ senior leader with an understanding of social finance or other relevant funding models. The appointee will be able to clearly demonstrate social justice orientation and possess a solid understanding of corporate governance, together with financial acumen and excellent communication, innovation and public representation skills. A commitment to the mission, vision and values of Clann Credo is an essential requirement.
