INVITATION
Do you think your group could benefit from support (other than cash) from commercial businesses in your locality?
Clann Credo - the Social Investment Fund, in partnership with Business in the Community,is organising a half day focus group/workshop for organisations that have been supported with social finance. The workshop will help you:
• explore what might be the benefit of support from the business community, • what support you could expect and • how best to prepare your approach to a business for support.
The workshop will also help us in Clann Credo to better understand the support needs of our social finance borrowers as well as helping Business in the Community match the needs of the sector to the skills available from its business members.
The workshop will take place on Friday 19th October from 11h00 to 15h00. Bank of Ireland has kindly agreed to host the workshop in their offices at Burlington Plaza, Burlington Road, Dublin 2. Lunch will be provided and there is no charge for this event.
At Clann Credo – the Social Investment Fund we believe that if we help our network of borrowers to become more effective in running their organisation, this will further our mutual goal to build stronger communities and generate more social gain. This workshop will help you identify priorities for strengthening your organisation and see if these needs can be met by business volunteers who are members of Business in the Community.
Expression of Interest
If you are interested in attending, we would ask you to please contact Linda O’Sullivan at Business in the Community Ireland by phone on 01-8747232 or email losullivan@bitc.ie giving your name, position and organisation. As no more than 20 organisations can be accommodated, places are limited to a maximum of one representative per organisation. The closing date for registration is 10th October 2012.
Selection is on a first come, first served basis, so the first 20 organisations that respond will be emailed to confirmed their place is reserved, after that representatives will be placed on a waiting list.
If there is sufficient demand, we will examine the feasibility of organising a second workshop at a later date.
Please respond promptly to assist with the planning of this innovative initiative that will help you, your organisation and the wider sector.
Yours Sincerely,
Paul O’Sullivan
