Apply for a loan

Because we believe that everyone's finance needs are unique, we don't ask loan applicants to complete long, generic application forms. Instead we prefer to discuss your needs with you - either in person or on the phone.

Making an Enquiry
Start the application process by completing this form. A member of our team will call you to discuss your requirements in further detail.

Alternatively, contact one of our Social Finance Executives by calling our office and telling us:

•    about your work
•    what you propose
•    what your needs are

Data Protection
You will be expected to complete a Data Protection Form to enable us to share relevant information with the parties involved in the assesment of loan applications.

Evaluation
Clann Credo’s capital must achieve a social return as well as a financial return. Therefore, the assessment will look both at the social dividend in the project and the ability to repay.

A Social Finance Executive from one our offices in Mayo, Cork or Dublin will do the assessment. They will collect information as detailed in application guidance notes in order to prepare an evaluation report for our Evaluation Committee.

A written report is prepared and submitted in advance of the Evaluation Committee and Board meeting. The Board of Directors makes the decision on each project and determines the conditions to be attached.

Timeframe
The Evaluation Committee and Board reviews evaluation reports on a monthly basis.

Letter of Offer
If approved by the Board, a Social Finance Executive will follow up with a formal letter of offer which details the amount of the loan, any terms and conditions and a direct debit mandate.

Drawdown of Loan
Once the Letter of Offer has been signed and all terms and conditions complied with, Clann Credo will be in a position to disburse the funds when you need them.
